Israel has been harvesting the organs of Palestinian fighters killed by Israel for decades. Most recently, families of such individuals in Gaza have claimed that their bodies were returned to them with organs removed. Because Israel refuses to permit journalists to enter Gaza, these claims have not been verified. But given numerous similar claims over decades, they would appear to be credible.
In 1990, Bibi Netanyahu was Israel’s deputy foreign minister. An individual who name is concealed in the document, wrote him proposing a law authorizing the State to harvest the organs of Palestinian resistance fighters killed by Israel. It routinely steals the bodies of such individuals and holds them for ransom, refusing to return them (sometimes for years). Both practices are grave violations of the Geneva Convention, which unfortunately sits on a shelf gathering dust.
This is especially relevant because the police minister/Judeo-terrorist, Itamar Ben Gvir, has drafted legislation which would institute the death penalty for for Palestinians. In fact, he has begun logistical preparations for carrying out executions. The bill passed its first of three votes.
He received this memo urging him to advocate for such a policy:
I’ve learned that their bodies are buried immediately following this [their seizure by the IDF], while in Israel patients are dying from a lack of organ donations. Therefore there is reason to propose a law to enable (or even require) transferring the fresh body to those hospitals performing organ transplants.
Terrorists should know that if they kill, their organs will save the lives of Jews–the very Jews they wish so much to eliminate.
I am convinced that the many bleeding hearts will pounce on this with various claims concerning “ethics.” In my opinion, it is ethical and even essential to save the lives of people with organs of those terrorists killed by the security forces.
Because I work with Arabs in the Wadi Ara region, I request that you not publish my name for fear of threats to m life.
In the letter, Netanyahu writes to the justice ministry, to which he turned for an opinion on the legality of the policy:
I’ve proposed conducting executions of terrorists who murder Israelis. I believe that the death penalty will be a powerful deterrent for Arabs against carrying out terror attacks. Till now, my suggestion has not received sufficient support, but I and others supporting this [policy] will continue to fight for its implementation.
Forty years ago Netanyahu was advocating the same policy. Even then, his moral rot and political opportunism were evident.
These documents were published by Israeli journalist, Amir Oren:
The eminent military historian, Max Hastings, writes in his memoirs about a meal he shared in Netanyahu’s home in which the latter declared (disturbingly echoing the current genocide):
In the next war, if we do it right, we’ll have a chance to get all the Arabs out. We can clear the West Bank, sort out Jerusalem.
Nothing has changed. In fact, he is realizing the vision he spoke of that night decades ago in Jerusalem.
Either Netanyahu is the one of the biggest bluffer in the history of modern Middle East or he’s the consummate manipulator. For example, in 2001 he spoke derisively to a settler family of American’s feeble opposition to his expansionist politics:
Bibi:…The Arabs are currently focusing on a war of terror and they think it will break us. The main thing, first of all, is to hit them. Not just one blow, but blows that are so painful that the price will be too heavy to be borne….To bring them to the point of being afraid that everything is collapsing…The world won’t say a thing. The world will say we’re defending [ourselves].
Woman: Aren’t you afraid of the world, Bibi?
Netanyahu: Especially today, with America. I know what America is. America is something that can easily be moved. Moved in the right direction…They won’t get in our way.
Hastings also recounts a smug aside redolent of anti-Yemenite anti-Ethiopian racism, in speaking about soldiers in the Golani brigade: “They’re okay as long as they’re led by white officers.”
Bibi and the stench of corruption
The stench of corruption hovers over him as well. There are longstanding corruption cases against the prime minister, in one of which he’s accused of accepting gifts from former Mossad spy, Arnon Milchan, in return for lobbying the Americans for a green card.
Oren has published a letter to Milchan from Netanyahu dated 1989, in which he offers regrets that he cannot expedite a green card. He suggests turning to US officials to facilitate this. The difference between 1989 and today is remarkable. As prime minister, he’s able to work the system including the US itself (see above) to procure the green card for Milchan.
Note that in 1989, as deputy foreign minister, he had no power to work the system on the Hollywood producer’s behalf. But with the Obama administration seeking to mollify him regarding the Iran nuclear deal, he wielded enormous sway. Milchan got his visa. The fix was in and Netanyahu was the master of manipulation, wrapping the US around his little finger.
When we blame Israel and Netanyahu for their war crimes, let us remember that we let him get away with it. Western leaders not only stood by while genocide raged, they facilitated it. They armed it. They offered impunity. We are as much to blame as he is. While 6-Million Died, a seminal work of Holocaust era history, which blamed the catastrophe on US indifference to the fate of European Jewry, is an apt reference to Gaza.
The disturbing phrase in the title of Meir Kahane’s book, Never Again: a Program for Survival, only applied to Jews. But not to Palestinians. For them it is always…again and again and again.
